Both servo and static voltage stabilizers regulate output voltage, but their correction mechanisms differ.

Servo stabilizers

  • Use a servo motor and variac for mechanical, continuous correction
  • Very high accuracy (around ±1%) and wide input range
  • Excellent overload tolerance; well suited to motor loads
  • Economical at medium and high ratings
  • Contain moving parts (carbon brush) that need periodic maintenance

Static stabilizers

  • Use power electronics (IGBTs/thyristors) with no moving parts
  • Faster correction, suited to very sensitive electronic loads
  • Generally higher cost at large ratings

Which should you choose?

For most industrial and commercial loads — motors, compressors, CNC machines, lifts and HVAC — a servo stabilizer offers the best balance of accuracy, robustness and cost. Talk to our engineers if your load has special requirements.
